MS Word 2003

I have recently upgraded to Word 2003. Today I noticed I am no longer able
to open my previously accessible word docs without going thru some process of
getting a data window that states I have an open data window, to click OK and
close the window, but there is no data window there until I click OK, at
which time a data window full of Sanskrit or Armenian or some such appears.
After I close it (twice), my document opens, and after I close it I am asked
if I want to make that the "Normal" template. If this is the best that Word
2003 can do, I'm going back to 2000!!!

The open window error is usually caused by the Office plug-in from Norton
a/v.

Word 2003 is rather nmore stable in use than Word 2000. reinstalliong that
will not change the problem which is due to external forces.
