MS Reader and authors

I am trying to take some files off my computer since I have not used it for a
while. I am going to get a larger hard drive but not right now. How do I
transfer my files to the right directory. So I can copy the reader itself to
the cdr drive. If I go to the file folder I dl'd some ebooks/lit books and
try to copy and move them to my CDR then I get a error message. I don't know
if I should place them right into the MS Reader file folder where to put them
or even if I can move them inside the Reader program. Hope I can get some
ideas here. Thanx

I'm not 100% sure, but was there no copy-protection for MS Reader files?
The problem you describe sounds a lot like it. If you right click those
files, and check the properties, maybe there is a tab for it.

sorry for being dense here but I have moved them about on my computer before
and in a earlier file of ebooks was able to copy them to cd no problem. I
looked at the properties of a file and I could not find anything that
permitted or disallowed copying. Most of them are free ebooks anyway. thanks
