MS mouse complaints

(XP Home) Following problems with Microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000 :
the scroll wheel does not work if I roll the wheel at a slow pace. Also
the function to scroll left or right by tilting the scroll wheel does not
work, even though it is enabled in preferences. Can anyone help? (The
wireless keyboard which came with the mouse is working fine)

Microsoft hardware is now at software v6.1 Try updating both at microsoft
hardware web page.And/or open mouse in control-panel,go thru the properties
tabs,the advanced tab,lets you increase sensitivity to the mouse...

Had the same issue here with the laser mouse 6000. Called MS and was given a free replacement and it works fine with the new mouse. It is a defect apparently in some model 6000's.
