How to merge 2 or more MS excel Sheets ?

MS Excel Sheets...how to copy and paste one excel sheet into another?

I've tried this like I would normally do with Notepad or Word and it
says:

The information cannot be pasted because the Copy area and the paste
area are not the same size and shape. Try one of the following:

..Click a single cell and then paste.
..Select a rectangle that's the same size and shape, and then paste.

I tried everything but I cannot do a simple cut and paste.

can anyone please help me

Thanks in advance,

Tina

Hi

There are 2 ways for it

1. Select the range starting from A1 and containong ALL data on sheet, you
want to copy. Copy it. Then activate the empty sheet, right-clik on A1
there, and Paste (or select A1, but ONLY ONE cell, and press Ctrl+V).
Richt-click somewhere on selected area on target sheet again (NO LEFT CLICK
meanwhile!), and select PasteSpecial.ColumnWidths.

2. Right-click onto sheets tab, select MoveOrCopy, check 'Create a copy'
checkbox and press OK. Rename the new sheet.

Do you have any of those dreaded manky, good for nothing, pain in the backside 'merged cells' in
the area you are copying or pasting to. This is usually enough to throw up that error. Select
the entire area to be copied and do Format / cells / alignment / uncheck 'Merged Cells'. Do the
same to the area you are pasting to, and then give it another go. :)
