MS Anti-spyware scheduler

I recently downloaded the new version of MSAS and since then I can't get the
scheduled scan to run at all. I can run a manual scan but the scheduled one
does not work. I can also set the schedule for any time I want but and it
says it is set to run everyday at 2:00 am, but it never does. (I've tried
other times as well) My language is set to English. What else can I try?

Try to change the schedule to daily and check time and the days you want it
to scan in "Manage schedule". Make sure you have the correct time and date in
your computer.

Is your computer on at 2:00 AM?

Try these two solutions:

You can repair Windows AntiSpyware using Add or Remove Programs in Control
Panel. Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Change. Click Next, and then
click Updªte.

Then, try these steps:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> type in -> command)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quºtes).
3) Close and re-open Windows Defender.

You can go ahead and do both of these--neither has any downside risk--and
see if that does the jºb.

Let us know whether it does, or nºt!

Thanks to the ones who answered. Yes my computer is on and yes the time is
correct, I guess those are basics that I assumed were a given. I'll try the
repair.

I have the same problem, and tried your instructions, but that did not work
either.

I continue to get the Setup Assistant every time I open MSAS...sigh...

I'm not clear what instructions you followed.

Here's what I would recommend for the setup assistant symptom:

Shut down Microsoft Antispyware via right-clicking on the notification area
icon.

Delete or rename \program files\microsoft antispyware\gcUserData.gcd

Then restart the program. You should get the setup wizard one more time,
but thereafter it should behave normally.
