mpegs in PP2000

Hi there,
I'm using PP2000, and I have several mpegs loaded as Movie Files into
slides (rather than embedded as objects). I'm developing a
presentation that can be burned to a CD and sent to customers, so it
can't rely on any particular setup on the computer. Originally, I had
PP on the system, and all the mpegs ran in their slide. THEN, I pulled
PP off, and none of them ran. I converted them to AVIs using the
Microsoft Video One codec, and now.... the first AVI runs, and each
additional movie just flashes the first frame on the screen, then goes
to the next slide. Help! Is this because I'm using PP2000 -- would
PPXP solve it? Apparently it's not because I'm short on video
resources, because otherwise it would just mess up every movie's
redraw. Is this a case where I just need to change to a different
presentation package?

PowerPoint doesn't run the video or audio files that you insert. It hands them
off to Windows which plays them in the MCI player. You can learn all about it
