MPEG2 will not work in Movie Maker

Hi. Please Help!!! I am trying to import a video clip
into Movie Maker. The file is in an MPEG2 format. When
it imports into Movie Maker, there is only audio and no
video. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thanks

Playback/importing of MPEG2 content is completely dependant on the third
party MPEG2 decoder installed on your computer. Most do not work well. See
the Importing Source Files > Video > MPEG2 page of www.papajohn.org

OK. Thank you for your help. I have been all over your
site as well as others looking for answers. I thought
there may have been another problem/solution because it
is importing and I'm not getting an error message of any
kind. It's just not working properly. At one point,
MPEG2 was importing and working fine but then something
happened and I'm not sure what. Thanks again.

I guess I'll change the wording on that page so people know that they can
have problems with MPEG2 files even if they successfully import them.

It actually does say something to that affect. I just
didn't want to hear it. LOL.

Thanks, I just changed it anyway to try to make that point stand out a bit
more.... you weren't the first to get past the error messages and then hope
that it would all be smooth sailing from there.
