MP3 editors?

I'm looking for a free MP3 editor.
All I want to be able to do is cut MP3 files.

eg: I don't like the way the file starts, and
I would like to cut off the first 5 seconds.

Any suggestions?

As long as the song is less than 7 minutes, MP3Trim...

I second this. It is a very good program. I have used it many, many
times to trim Mp3's. Easy to use, efficient and fast.

Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?
He would stay up late every night and wonder if there was a dog.

What about if you want to fade out the end of an MP3, rather than just cut
it - will it do that as well?

I do not think so. This is a very simple tool just to cut an MP3.
