MP3Trim is freeware and requires no install- just put it in a folder and
launch it. It can be used to *automatically* remove the digital silence at
the beginning and end of mp3 files, or it can be used *manually* to remove
selected moments, such as the applause you refer to- either by the second or
by the frame.
