Mp3 - edit silences

Hi,
Is There a program that will let me BATCH edit folders of mp3 files.
The objective is to standardise all beginning and end silences to the
same length with a view to compiling an audio CD (or Mp3 cd) later.

I currently use Mp3 trim, but this requires clicking on each file
individually - very time consuming and tedious. Also I haven't
figured out with Mp3 trim how to trim long silences, so in practice I
end up creating even longer silences to some mp3 files.

I'd like the program to BATCH reduce or enlarge existing silences and
replace with a silence of my own (length) choosing.

Does that make sense ?

Yeah, it makes sense. There is even an app to do it but - unlike its
free version (MP3Trim) the Pro version isn't free.
