Hi There,
I currently have Terminal licence server on one of our DCs. We are currently in the process of upgrading to 2003 environment. I will be upgrading theTerminal licence DC server in the next few days but I do not want any dowtime to my terminal server clients. Can I move my terminal server licence to another 2000 DC easily or do I need to request new authorsation codes from microsoft to setup on a new 200 DC ?

any guideance would be a help.

Many thanks,
Liam

Moving the TS Licenses from one license server to another involves
phoning the Clearinghouse and get your licenses re-issued.

But a short downtime of your License Server should not
automatically mean a downtime of your clients, since the licenses
are stored on the client. Only new clients will be unable to
connect, but existing ones shouldn't have a problem, if the
downtime doesn't last for more than a week (clients start to renew
their TS CAL a week before it expires).
