Moving from Windows 95 to Windos XP

I recently bought a new computer with Windows XP. How do I move my data from the Windows 95 computer to the Windows XP computer? I've tried networking the two computers but cannot network the Windows 95 unit

I have two files I'm really concerned about moving. The most critical is my Microsoft Money 99 file and the other is my contect list from Outlook Express on the 95 unit to Outlook on the XP unit.

Michel,

Move your critical files to a disk and burn them on CD, I wouldn't
advise you to use floppies, because sometimes XP won't recognize a
floppy formatted on other operating systems.

Regarding the Outlook express file, you can use the export wizard to
save your data to a folder on the harddrive > burn the folder on a CD
Use the import wizard on Outlook express on your XP machine to enter
the data.

Hope this helps.

Remove the hard drive from the old system and temporally install it as a
slave, secondary master or secondary slave. You can then retrieve the data
directly from the hard drive.
You only need to connect the cable and power connector and set the jumper to
the proper setting. It is not necessary to actually install it to a drive
bay.
