Moving clips???

Ok, I'm NOT new at editing audio or video by any means, so this shouldn't be
an issue at all. I'm trying to simply move video clips to specific spots on
the timeline to match them up with imported audio. Any time I drag a video
clip into the timeline it automatically slips to the beginning. The help
index clearly says that you can paste to the playback line. Am I missing
something here? Does Movie Maker NOT allow you to paste video to any spot?
Does it only butt clips together? Because that is rediculous programming if
that is the case. I have never seen another video editor do that.

Try right click and then drag to desired spot - should work

You can't have empty space on the video portion of the timeline.
If you need the clip to show up at a specific point then you need to insert
a blank image and drag the length to the point where you want to insert the
next video clip.
Just create a black image and import that into WMM then drag that to the
timeline and drag the right side to the point where you want the video.
