Moving a folder from Shared Documents

I am currently running Windows XP Home Edition. I accidently moved a folder
(my videos) from My Documents folder to the Shared Documents folder. I am
now unable to move it back. When I try I'm told that it is a system folder
and cannot be moved or deleted.

I do not want this folder in Shared Documents. I want it back where it was
in My documents. Any ideas on how I can make that happen?

Hey BDG--

Can you copy what's in the videos folder to a new desktop folder, and delete
the folder in Shared Documents? If you're at work, maybe your IT person can
bail you out.

I need to read more carefully...you can't delete the shared folder, and you
are using a home edition.

Download and install TweakUI from Microsoft's Power Toys.

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Run TweakUI, in the left-hand column, go to "My Computer" > "Special
Folders". Here you can choose "Shared Music" from the drop down list and
change the location back to My Documents. After this is done, you will have
to copy all your music files from the shared location to your new location.

Thank you Davey and WTC,

I copied the my videos folder back to My Documents and deleted the copy that
was in Shared Documents. I was mistaken when I assumed the folder could not
be deleted. It can.

I also downloaded the TweakUI and it should prove handy for some future
problem. Again, thanx guys.
