Movie Maker2.1 Unhandled win 32 exception error

Movie maker gives me this error 85% of the time I have tried everything
under the sun searched endlessly for how to fix. cleaned my registry ,
Restored my pc. I have done everything possible to fix this.
Support is non existant Microsoft makes crappy programs and if they dont
crash 100% of the time then its working in their minds. and even then so what
if it does.

SHORT OF BUYING A MAC HOW CAN I FIX THIS ERROR?

movie maker 2.1 running windows xp service pack 2

This is not a common issue.

When does the error appear? When you first launch
Movie Maker or after you import certain source files?

When you say, "Restored my pc"...do you mean you
did an OOBE System Recovery or a System Restore
to an earlier date?

Have you tried reinstalling SP2?

Have you tried installing SP3?

Are you fully updated from Microsoft Update?

I'm not sure the following article is relevant but it might
be worth a look:

(811191) BUG: You receive an "Unhandled
Win32 exception" error message you use
the Just-In-Time (JIT) debugger
