Movie Maker Lockup Fix!

Hi all,

I'm very excited today because I got MM2 working! I'm
keeping my fingers crossed but its been working for an
hour which is way longer than its ever worked before.

I applied this tweak:

Basically its some NVIDIA/XP tweak that fixed my
crashing/lockup problems. Now I can generate WMV videos
without trying 10 times. I was also able to backout all
the other changes that I made (disabling AX files,
turning down hardware acceleration). Before this fix I
was only able to output AVI files.

So far so good! This may help a few of you out there
since NVIDIA chipsets are so common.

Thanks Reece, I added the info to the Acceleration and Codecs page of my
website. I'd like to hear from anyone else who tries it.
