move normal.dot to a new computer

Dr. Indera

hello,

i searched my hard drive for this file <i have office 2003 installed>, but
could not find it. i wanted to replace that one with the one from office
2000, as i have made quite a few customizations that i need to keep.

for another problem i'm having, i was told to put office 2000 back on, then
put office 2003 on. when i do this, i should be able to copy the normal.dot
file from one computer to the other.

my question is whether office 2003 will recognize the normal.dot file and if
so, if i uninstall office 2000, when everything is working like i want will
the normal.dot file still work under office 2003 or should i uninstall all
office 2000 packages, except word 2000.

thank you.
