Using Windows update, I selected the installation for the A4tech mouse
update! In the progress of installing, I selected continue anyway for the
unsigned driver but it force Windows to reboot! Upon restarting, the
scandisk was carried out. At the login page, the mouse doesnt show response,
so I restarted the windows and it still show the same fault. I unplug the
usb mouse and insert on other USB port and it work! Then I try other device
on the USB port where the mouse fail and they function correctly. Is there a
way to clear the USB port error?

There is a way to fix it so you can use the mouse in the port it wasn't
working in, but this requires editing the registry. This may be
something you are not comfortable with, and in this case I would suggest
just leaving things as they are since they work just fine.

If you must, here is how to fix it. First, make sure to remove the
mouse before you delete the folder I explain later. Open Regedit
(Start-Run-regedit) and navigate to HKLM\System\CCS\Enum\USB. Now you
are going to look under each folder labeled Vid_Xxxx and there should be
subfolders containing information about different peices of USB
hardware. Find the ones containing information about your USB mouse.
Now right click on the Vid_Xxxx folder that has the information about
your mouse in it and click Properties. Check Allow Full Control, then
right click on the Vid_Xxxx folder and delete it. Reboot and plug the
mouse back in.

Initially it didnt work as I delete a unknown USB mouse, but when I read ur
steps again, I try delete the current USB mouse infor! And of course it
work, Thanks for your help. Anyway, I dont had any difficulty in editing
registry!

Glad to hear it worked. I am hesitant to suggest editing the registry
simply because you can really mess things up in there if you don't know
what you are doing ;)
