Mouse sensitivity question

Bob Newman

Recently my mouse has started acting VERY SENSITIVE. It frequently acts as
though I am double-clicking on something when in fact I am not. In the
Outlook Express Newsreader if I click on the title of a message to highlight
it the message opens as though I double-clicked it and it is very difficult
to highlight an area in Excel as Windows thinks I am double-clicking instead
of click and dragging. Any ideas? Again, I am not talking about the time
between clicks of a double click.

Thanks in advance... Bob

I recently went through that with a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse and found
it to be quite maddening. I assume it was poor design and the button wore
out already. Replacing the mouse resolved the issue. It probably wouldn't
hurt to double check your settings or update/reinstall drivers, but I would
assume the button is worn out or something is obstructing it's motion.
