Mouse rampage

We experience the following problem with our Logitach remote usb mouse on
Vista ultimate. It works properly with Windows Xp sp2,3 on the same machine
symptoms :

-delayed response or no response at all upon mouse click
-can't escape from drag mode
-random text select
-delayed cursor response
-office 2003 shortcuts NEVER response to start menu pane cliks ( However
they works fine from start/programs )

Hibernate keeps this behaviour
Changing the batteries, setting the power plan to high performance,
switching off audio filtering, switching off DreamScene, increasing cursor
speed makes no difference.
No additional mouse event handler or other spec. mouse control program are
installed on this system.
Cpu usage is normal and the programs run fast.

This abnormal behaviour occurs rarely, otherwise the system operates
normally.

Any help regarding this issue would be appreciated

Did you install the latest Logitech drivers for Vista? If not, that's your
next step.
