Motorola Q

I just got Moto Q and can not sync Outlook notes with it (I have the most up
to date Motorola software and ActiveSync). I tried SmartPhoneNotes and it
did not work (there technical folks could not help either).

Any solutions that does not cost an arm and leg?

You might want to find out if that's actually supported for your mobile
device.
Outlook doesn't play an active role in the sync process. The correct
newsgroup for syncing questions for Windows Mobile based mobile devices
would be pocketpc.activesync
