Motherboard swap/network pci card vs onboard adapter

Just swaped motherboard, my lan was realtek PCi, the new motherboard (SOYO) comes with onboard connection. Everything works fine now except Realtec still shows up on network adapters on device manager. If I try to do an uninstall the system won't allow me to....says it's part of the boot up. Tried all obvisious remidies none work. I've tried to delete the driver in system32/drivers but it keeps returning.

Did you try deleting it in Safe Mode?
