Monitr Cable

one of the pins (in middle row) in my monitor's (LG STUDIOWORKS 45V) cable (one connecting to the display card) is broken. The screen sometimes flickers and color changes to purple sometimes . Is this because of the broken pin. Kindly suggest to avoid any furthur problem

Yes, it's very likely the broken pin is causing the problem. Best thing to do is fit a new VGA plug to the end of the cable, or if you're not capable of doing this job yourself, have a TV repair shop or similar carry out the job for you. Shouldn't be too expensive.

That's assuming the cable is permanently fixed to the Monitor. If it's a detachable cable, you're in luck, just replace the cable.
