Monitor problem

A while ago, one of our computers was workin fine, but once I turned it off
and went to turn it back on later, it wouldn't do anything. At first it just
plain wouldn't have any power go to the desktop itself, but that seemed to
get a little better and now has power going to it. The only problem now is
that I can't get the monitor to work. I don't know if maybe the monitor was
broken during some power outage or something or if it's just cheap. The
strange thing is that The monitor has power going to it since I can see the
yellow-orange light, but it doesn't seem to connect to the computer and it
won't give me the green light on the monitor that I need. This has deeply
troubled me since I can no longer play WoW, if anyone knows ANYTHING about
this, please help.

either you have a failing power supply, and or a problem with your video card.
I assume you have your monitor plugged into the back of the pc, if so
disconnect and plug directly into a wall socket, this should resolve if it's
the pc's power supply
or something within the monitor that's gone bad, if it's still yellow, get a
test monitor
from a friend and hook that up, see if it works, this should isolate if it's
monitor or pc problem.
