Modifying the ownership...

Hi!

I need help in modifying the ownership.
The previous administrator of the domain upgraded from
NT4, but he have just copied the files to the new server.
So the owner of all the (previously) shared files is the
Administrator.
I need to assign (modify) the ownership of directories to
the original owner.
But when I try to modify the owner in the possible owner
list (directory properties/security tab/advanced/owner), I
can only modify it to Administrator and
Domainname/Administrators (group).
I tried to promote a user to be an administrator, but the
user name doesn't appears there (possible owners list).

Please help me to give all the ownership back to the
original owners.

you can't but this should be necessary. you can just ACL the folders to the
original owners.
