Modifies Subject with SPAM level?

Almost all inbound email is now having it's subject line modified with a spam
level (eg., SPAM-LOW, SPAM-MED, OR SPAM-HIGH).

I have searched this board for where this may be originating, but found no
other reference. If I check my mail using its web interface, the subject is
unmodified. If I then download that mail with Outlook '03 the subject is
modified.

How can I disable this feature, without disabling junk mail handling? I
just don't want the subject modified. (it is annoying)

Changing the subject like that is not an Outlook feature. Since you don't see it on the web interface, we can rule out software on your mail server. That leaves software on your own computer as the likely source. You might want to look in Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.

I found what was responsible for modifying my subject line. Although I had
in fact checked the server, I checked the wrong one. I have 15+ POP3
accounts across 2 different servers. I had checked my primary server, but
had not realized that only addresses on the second server had the spam level
added.

The second server was just upgraded to the new edition of SmarterMail, and
the default settings cause the subject modification.

So, I apologize for posting here and blaming Outlook.... thanks for your help.
