Modem to work with XP?

My brother has an old Compaq 5304 computer. He is going to have me build
him a new one soon. My question is will the Lucent 56k modem that came with
his Compaq work on XP or at least with updates? Sorry, I can't give you
much more info on the modem.

XP provides drivers that will work with almost any modem, or, you could go
to HP's website and download the drivers before you build...
