Mobo, Video Card Driver Question

I went to my Mobo and vid card manufatcturer's website to look for
updated drivers. They did have updated drivers for both items.
I called the support number for the vid card and asked the tech what
benefit I would get from updating my driver. He asked if I was having
any problem with the vid card or display. I said "no". He said stay
with the driver I had installed. Any thoughts on his answer ???

His answer is correct if the newer drivers do not have any extra advantage
over what you have installed and you're not having any problems. However if you
feel you want to install them anyhow, go ahead, it can't hurt anything. (Fingers
crossed and tap on wood.)

"If it ain't broke don't fix it".

Good luck

His answer is perfect. If there's nothing to fix, stay with what you have.
If you install a new driver, there are only two possibilities:

1. You will continue to have no problems.

2. You will start to experience problems.

Number 2 might not be terribly likely, but it's always possible. Why should
you risk even the small possibility of a problem when there is no potential
gain?

I would have said the same thing.

It is not unheard of for someone having to revert back to a previous driver
when the latest has caused problems.
