MMC Help: Active Directory and multiple Domain Controllers

Stipulation: I'm new to AD and MMC, so if I sound like an idiot, I am.
I created a new MMC session, with multiple "Active Directory Users
and Computers" snap-ins, as I need to connect to several different
PDCs to administrate several different domains. The problem is, it
nevers remembers which domain controllers I'm connected to. Is there
anyway to store that in the .msc file. Looks like it's just an XML
file, easily modified if I knew what to change.

I know I can add /server=blah to the shortcut, but of course that only
works for one. Hoping there's some way that information can be stored
in the XML file.

save the snap-in and re-open it and it will remember your settings. The
name should even appear under administrative tools.

That doesn't appear to be working. Perhaps I'm just missing a step,
so this is what I'm doing.
1) Run mmc.exe
2) Open up my .msc file
3) For each snap-in, connect to a specific Domain Controller.
4) Save the .msc file.
5) Close mmc
6) Open the .msc file by double-clicking.

I have also tried running mmc, then opening the file instead of just
double-clicking, and I get the same results. Each snap-in in connected
to the default domain controller.

I don't know if it remembers the DC or connects each time, however if you
can save which one you want, ensure you are loading the snap-in in author
mode (you are with the below steps) and go into the options and check to
ensure that save changes is enabled.
