Does anyone know how to save movie in mm2 to playback on
different computer? I have movie of pix and music. In
mm1 I save movie and choose the other option and set it
to cd-r playback. Now when I play back I get audio only.

Hi there,

In the save process you are asked what size of file and quality you want,
There are two main formats one is WMV and the other is DV-AVI. Either of
these formats will play on all up to date windows 98, NT, 2000, XP (and
just in case there are any ME users still around...yes you might even get
it to play on that as well)

DV-AVI is the highest quality you will get out of MM2 but it also creates a
very large file. WMF format is a highly compressed file yet maintains good
quality and obviously takes up less disk space.

Either of these files can be saved to a CD-R, if you want MM2 to do that
part for you, you will be restricted to WMV and it will include a menu
system called HighMat.

Basically, whether or not it will play on a second machine is very much a
matter of, can the second machine perform the way the first one does, or,
put another way, is the second windows machine properly up to date, if it
is not (and you would be amazed how many people actually believe it should
do all that stuff all by itself) then clearly it stands a chance of
failing.

How to save movies using Movie Maker 2 is also fully explained in the help
file that comes with the program.

Thanks - my second machine did not have updated codecs
and I did not have it hooked to internet. When I did,
the codecs updated automaticall and the movie played
great.
Thanks for help
