MISSING wmiprvse.exe IN SYSTEM

Hi all. I hope I can find help here. After recovering from a virus attack on
my computer, I installed Spyware Doctor and during normal operation, it
reported a hidden process and asked if I want it deleted the next time the
system reboots. I clicked yes to remove wmiprvse.exe. Since then, my event
log shows error starting DCOM server due to the failure to locate the said
file.
Running MS Info from dxdiag doesn't give me any system information.

Is there a way to rectify this problem and get my system back to normal
operation without any problems? Thanks in advance.

There was no need to multipost this. You have answers in the other newsgroup
to which you posted. If you can't find your post, search for your name in
Google Groups Advanced Search.

Why multiposting is bad and will get you *less* help:

You killed the Windows Mangement Instrumentation capability of the OS !

You need to restore this file to fix the problem.
