missing sndbass.exe file

I ran Norton Antivirus which found a Trojan.Gema virus in the file 'sndbass.exe'. After deleting the infected file, the following messages appear each time the computer is started or restarted: 'Windows cannot find 'c:\winnt\system32\sndbass.exe', and 'Could not load or run 'c\winnt\system32\sndbass.exe' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it from the registry'

Should the file be restored, and how? Or should the registry reference be changed, and how

Thanks for any help on this. I'm new to using Windows XP.

Perhaps:
Go to Start>Run
Type in "msconfig"
Click the Startup tab
Scroll down in the list to find the file and uncheck it

That should stop it (if it is) starting when the computer starts. When the
computer restarts after doing this, you need to keep the changes, so click
the box that says "don't show this message" or something to that effect, so
that it does not show again.
