Missing Security Tab

P

Peter

Hi There.

On Windows XP PRO as Administrator I'm trying to set the
"deny access" to a drive for a particular group but the
security tab is missing when right-click on folder and
select "Sharing and Security...". Also I can't set it using
Computer Management and double-clicking on D$ under "Shared
Folders\Shares" (actually doble-clicking does nothing on
any item there).

How can I activate back the security tab?

Thanks for your help.

Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > View and uncheck
"Use Simple File Sharing" and click "Apply".

P.S. Your drive must be formatted NTFS.
