Missing "Safely Remove Hardware" Icon

My "Safely Remove Hardware" icon has disappeared from my System Tray. It is
not in the Hidden Icons grouping.

Can someone advise me as to how to recover this icon.

What do you have plugged into the port at the moment ?

The computer is a Dell desktop with 2 USB plugs in the back and 1 in the
front.

The rear slots contain:
(a) Optical Mouse
(b) A 4-slot hub (contains my DVD-RW, external Hard Disk, Scanner, and USB
extension cable). tje DVD-RW, HD, and Scanner are usually turned off unless
needed.

The front slot is empty.

This configuration has existed for the last year or so without problems.

I noticed the "lost" the icon about 2 weeks ago.

Bill P offered the fix. However if you use these option a lot to hot
plug/unplug usb devices and drives you might consider using this little app
