Missing lines in Explorer

W

Wake-up-Jeff

In the folders tree in explorer, I have no vertical lines.
I'm used to seeing vertical lines connecting peer folders or child folders
to their parent.
I would like to see these vertical lines.
I miss them.
My life seems somehow . . . empty without them.

My child folders appear detached from their parents.
I'm afraid that they may wander to other parents.
Perhaps even to another hard drive.
How can a planned data structure survive?
When children are cast free from their parents?
When siblings are missing a strong, shared connection to their family?

Where have all the lines gone?

How can I bring them back?
I don't need a counsellor.
I don't need a psychologist.
I just want my lines back.

Has anyone restored their lost lines?

Hi,

Go to Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View and check the box that
reads: Display simple folder view in Explorer's Folder List.
