Missing File 'sysdpt.exe'

J

Jon

When I boot my system, I get a notification that a
file "c:\windows\system32\sysdpt.exe' is missing" When I
click 'OK' it goes on to say it couldn't run the 'sysdpt'
program and to remove it from the registry.
1.What is this program?
2.Is it important/useful?
3.If I want it, where and how can I get and install the
file?
Any help greatly received.

Regards

Jon

Thanks Sharon,
I went and removed the value from the registry under
current user (the only entry I could find,) re-booted
once more, it still auto run! with the same error
messages.
Have you any other thoughts?

Make sure your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan of your
system. Also, check for any malware that might be the source of the issue,
download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

The above may find other references nested somewhere in your system.
