Missing DDWIN.EXE file

G

Guest

Dear Sir/Madam:

I had a system crash that was serious enough that I had to reformat my hard
drive.

I reinstalled all software and files; however, at present when I shutdown my
system it gives me an error that there is a problem with "ddwin.exe". The
error message is to quick to grasp what it is exactly saying. But, I believe
that my "ddwin.exe" file is missing.

Can I repair this? If so how? I do not hav a restore disk!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Mercury

Have you ever installed Dragon or Dragon Dictate software? Is it still
installed? You may have an orphaned Registry entry.

With your torch held high try Start, Run, type "sfc /scannow" without

NP - we're always up for a wild goose chase :))

If that is the file involved - then Gerry's suggestion of using sfc will
check the system files and replace any corrupt/deleted ones.
