Hi There,

I saw my backscanner didnt completed his backupjob because of missing
files...These are missing :
C:\setup.log
C:\exchange server setup.log
C:\exchange server setup process.log
c:\Config.sys
C:\Boot,ini
C:\Bootsect.dos
C:\autoexec.bat
C:\arcsetup.log
c:\.rnd ..

I did a search on c and the files are indeed missing ..... What can i do ..
i did search my backup tapes but i cant find the files from a older backup .

Please help !!! The server needs a reboot some time .. Some advice would be
really great .

It's a 2000 server with exchange and isa and some other applications. ..

Thx

Your boot.ini file is required for booting into Windows 2000. From an XP
CD's Recovery Console you can run bootcfg to recreate the boot.ini file. If
you don't have that and need to recreate the boot.ini file, you may be able
to find the arcpath by running the MAP ARC command within Windows 2000 RC.

config.sys, autoexec.bat, bootsect.dos are only required for dualboot
scenario and may not be required. Was this originally a dualboot system?

How is your "backscanner" configured? AFAIK, not all the files you listed
are "required" files.

Thanks for your post.. I'm not sure if this machine was ever a dualboot
system.. I think not cause it's a 2000 server here for our company.. I'm not
