Missing Animated Cursors!?

For some odd reason my animated cursors are either
missing or corrupt. I would like to know how to get them
back there is one cursor scheme that I was using until it
stopped working after a couple months since I got a new
computer back in 2002. The name of the scheme is Windows
Animated (system scheme) and the animated cursors that go
with it are rainbow.ani, appstart.ani and hourglas.ani.
Also, I would like to get the following animated cursors
back too:

appstart3.ani
banana.ani
barber.ani
coin.ani
counter.ani
dinosau2.ani
dinosaur.ani
drum.ani
fillitup.ani
hand.ani
handapst.ani
handno.ani
handwait.ani
horse.ani
hourgla2.ani
hourgla3.ani
metronom.ani
piano.ani
raindrop.ani
stopwtch.ani
wagtail.ani

Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs
Add/Remove Windows Components
Highlight Accessories and Utilities then Details
Highlight Accessories then Details
Make sure there is a check in the box for Mouse Pointers
If it is checked, then uncheck then ok. Then go back and
check the box. You may need your XP cd.
