migration from a97 to a2003

we are migrating from a97 to a2003 but the linked tables are causing problems
for us as such when we convert database from 97 to 2003 the linked tables
doesn't get converted.

You can use them as they are. Access 2003 should be able to read them,
especially if you leave the Access 2003 database in its default Access 2000
format. You can also convert the back-end tables to Access 2000 or 2003.

The linked tables are not getting migrated.Could you please elaborate on what
needs to be done.

Converting a front-end with linked tables does nothing to the linked tables.

As Arvin suggested, there's actually no need to convert the linked tables:
an Access 2003 front-end is happy working with an Access 97 back-end.

If you really want to convert the tables, though, open the back-end database
with Access 2003 and let it convert.
