Visual Studio Tools for Office - A2003 Development

Hi Folks - got some great feedback from Doug regarding the way forward from
A97 to A2003 upgrade.

He suggested I'd need Visual Studio Tools for Office as well as A2003.

Checking on the web I see entire packages for this product (circa £600 GBP),
but it seems there must be a developer packaged much like the developer
tools associated with Office 97/8 (which were significantly less expensive).

Is that the case with A2003 too?

Is there an upgrade from A97 Developer Tools?

If I were to install VB6 or VB.net would that give me access to the same
tools?

In A97 I need the developers tools to actually build my apps. is it the same
in A2003?

Why is the Visual Studio Tools for Office referring to .Net when A2003 is
not .Net but VBA? (or did I get that wrong too LOL).

Appreciate any feedback on these points

Cheers

No other option than what I mentioned.

I have no idea why VSTO refers to .Net. I've often wondered myself.

Don't know what you mean that you needed "the developers tools to actually
build my apps."

Thanks again, I meant the ODE Developers Tools to build and distribute apps
Doug.

I need to check if the Visual Studio Tools are an upgrade to the ODE.

Cheers
