Migrating from OE6 to Outlook 2002

I've been using Outlook as a standalone app ie Personal folder just
calendar, contact and tasks. I'm thinking of using it as my email client now
too. Is there a paper somewhere that descibes how I migrate?

Will I still be able to access my pst files. Is there any functionality I
lose? Will I be able to import my OE email's not held by my ISP? Is there an
simple process for migrating the folder structure and address. Will I still
be able to access newgroups. Will this affect other users on my PC, in
particular my wife (don't want to upset HER)

Thanks

There are different methods of migrating the OE contacts, rules, and mail.
For the mail, open OE and click File>Export>Messages. Click OK. Select the
"All folders" option, or just the folders you wish to move. The migration
will recreate the folder structure. For RUles, use Outlook and click
File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail and Addresses.

Of course. All your OE mail will be placed in the delivery location PST.

Identities are not supported in Outlook. Instead, you can use separate mail
profiles. Also, address book groups are not supported and will not
transfer. Instead, you can use distribution lists or categories.

As above.

Outlook cannot access newsgroups. Instead you will continue to use Outlook
Express for that.

I believe there can be only a single default mail client on the machine, but
that doesn't mean you can't use both OE and OL.

Brian,

Do you know of a MS Document that covers migration. I would like to review
that document.
Thanks

Sorry,
I thought you had to export the contacts and address in OE before you could
import the information.

As ask because I have decided it is time to move away form OE to O.
