MIDI files

Hi. I can't play back MIDI files (no sound). I don't
think the problem is with my sound card because I have
also tried going to my computer's Start Menu/Sound &
Audio Devices/Audio/MIDI Music Playback and selecting
MicrosoftGS Wavetable SW Synth. and it still does not
work. Any suggestions?
