Recently I tried the above & since then EVERY time I switch on computer, I
get the above which asks me to press ENTER for Profile 1 or "L" for Last Good
Configuration etc. I am new to computers. I have tried searching under
"Search" on "Start" menu, But cannot find the file. I wish to remove this
menu as I do not want it to appear every time I boot up. Can anyone help here
,please ?

Try uninstalling recovery console...You can/could still use it by booting to
xp cd,otherwise you'll get this option every start-up..

Hello Andrew E. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I went
to the usual "Add & RemoveProgrammes" in Control Panel, but the Windows
Recovery Console Menu is NOT listed there. I then went to My Computer/C
Drive/ Windows and all I could find was a small 80kB file called "Last
Good(2)" which is one of the TWO Profiles mentioned in thew Recovery Console
Menu.I removed that and could NOT see a file called Last Good(1) , BUT this
does NOt in any way affect the Recovery Console coming up & going through all
the motions !Am I looking in the wrong place to uninstall the menu ??
