DX10 will ship with Vista and apparently it won't work with XP.
From then on, all new games will be designed for DX10.
Think about it, Win XP may become redundant for Gamers.
Linux indeed. Various distros are becoming more user friendly, I just hope Games developers see the potential for the Linux market. Then it could truly become a preferred OS.
You will be able to use DX9 "compatibility mode" Flopps ...
Nope, I don't play many 'games' and I have been looking at Linux, again ... wonder how many 'online' games Linux can run.
What worries me is, all those people that buy new PCs with the "wrong version for them" bundled ... or will we actually get "Joe public" to understand the differences.
I would also be interested to see what the pricing structure will be; after all, 2006 is now just around the corner.
