"microsoft system management bios driver"

Does anyone recognize this
"microsoft system management bios driver"
It has a yellow exclamation mark in my hardware. Should I
worry about it. I tried updating driver but the computer
said it found none.

I think it happened after sp2 crashed my computer. And
Does it have anything to do with display because my ati
tv ve no longer works.

I have the same problem, since the microsoft sp2 upgrade, but I was
told to delete the driver and it would be re-installed when
re-booting, It didn't and now it is gone. No one knows how to get it
back, my machine boots real slow now and IE goes down a lot. Does
anyone know what this driver is, and how to re-install it?

Today, I was told that the driver is a result of the sp2 install, and
that when I re-install sp2 it should clear up. Keep you posted.

The microsoft tech was right, when re-installing sp2 the bios driver
is now present. Machine boots up somewhat quicker, but not nearly as
nice as it did prior to sp2.... If I ever go back to re-install,
reformat, I will forego the microsoft updates, and get myself a
regiment of spyware checkers. I really liked having a quick to boot
machine. Missing it already.
