I helped MS acquired more business licenses than your could possibly buy for
your entire life plus next life and beyond.

If it's the kind of people like you support this OS and company, this
company is going down for sure.

You can add some because I know some people like to say the last words. But
I am done with you since you are not worthy.

You mean because I buy and use their products MS is going down...somewhere?

I don't understand the necessity for rudeness, vileness and intolerance (for the opinions of others) when one person responds to the comments of another. Do some of you people teach this behavior to your children? Is this the way you respond to someone who voices an opinion that differs from your own opinion, whether at work or at home? You can respond to a question or comment politely and with respect. Name calling and acerbic criticism are unnecessary. A little self-control is all it takes.

MS has built an OS looking toward the future [...]

Future of what?
Heck, they've had 5 years lead time and still some major
hardware/software (Creative & HP) for example still don't have Vista
drivers. Hello! What planet have you been on for the last 5 years.

Hello, what planet have you been on for the last 10+ years. Since the
birth of Win 95 when plug-&-play initiative has been implemented, personal
computers are expected to be an integrated device and OS (be it Windows,
Linux or whatever else) to the least degree should provide "generic"
drivers for most commonly used devices to work.

Since Win95 HOW MANY new hardware devices have been released to market?
Expecting MS to develop drivers for everything is absurd and not their job,
no matter how basic.

Take a look at Apple. They dev drivers for the three different machine
types they sell (varying flavors) and that OS is EXPENSIVE!!! Just imagine
what Windows would cost if they did the same.....and NO, linux does NOT do
that.

Awesome news!!! Thanks for sharing. This is a VERY good reason to stay the
hell away from Toshiba.

They take existing hardware/software and try to get Vista to work. It
won't for instance run Aero without adding more vram. Adding more vram
will make the manufacturing cost go up and put the retail price beyond
their targeted "price point" for competitive marketing. If they don't
increase the vram they will get consumers blow back and possibly be sued
if they advertise them as "Vista compatible or capable", whichever. So
they actually mark them "not vista whatever", reduce the price and move'em
out.
Something like that. It sounds like Toshiba marketing ran into a problem
with Toshiba legal and Corp went with legal. Proly a wise decision as we
hear consumers complaining that what they bought was mark "Vista whatever"
but ends up being only marginally "Vista whatever".
My take anyway.

Makes sense. Thanks.
