MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK OFFLINE FOLDERS

I currently have a new Dell laptop that has Vista Home Premium and installed
MS Office 2007. Now I have an annoying pop up the says:

App Data\Local\Microsoft\outlook\outlook.ost is already in use by the maxium
number of applications. Close some of these and then try again.

There are no other applications open and when closing the window, you have
to click it several times before it goes away. Please help me before I throw
my new computer out of the window out of frustration!

Is this a Vista problem or a McFee problem (FYI - I have disabled the
protection to see if it'll help and it doesn't)

Are you trying to access an Exchange account? How about a Hotmail account?
I suspect Windows Desktop Search may be interfering. Try changing the
indexinhg options to ignore mail items.

Thanks for the reply.

We have a Microsoft Exchange Server and yes, it's an exchange account.

How do I change the indexing option? This whole Vista and MS Office 2007
thing is throwing me off. I know I just need to adjust. Can you help me pls?

How do I change the indexing option?

Control Panel>Indexing Options, or similar (I'm not at my Vista system right
now).
