Found what appcompatexe.means-->

It says that it is the error report temp file not the error it self and
below is about the error.

The steps to take then will depend on what you were doing and what
applications were involved. A fix could be as simple as a configuration
change, a virus scan a system file check, or as complex as a complete rebuild
and reinstall of Windows. But without more information, there's simply no way
to know.

And at the end it says

The origin of the problem may be an incompatible application or a corrupted
system file, but an infection is not excluded... go into the file properties
and see if you have ownership and how the permissions are applied and after
you take ownership it should be possible to delete it. For XP Pro disable
simple file sharing in Explorer\Tools\Folder Options\View\uncheck Simple
file sharing (recommended).. and logon in safe mode to do it if your OS is
Home Edition.

How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP
Describes how to take ownership of files or folders that
you may not have permissions for if you are an administrator for that
computer.

Other options in my opinion are:
1) A look in the Event Viewer might have an indication of the cause.
My Computer\right click, Manage\Event Viewer
2) A recent installed application?
3) Use Start\Run\SFC /scannow to replace missing or damaged system files
which could be causing the problem. Read complete information.
