Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 not sensitive enough on click

I just installed Intellipoint 5.5 and my new laser mouse 6000 takes numerous
clicks before it executes the click. It's like it does not recognize the
click at all for several clicks. How do I adjust the sensitivity?
